I just do not have access to welding equipment or the pieces to make it...LOL. Not a metal working guy. I may just try and have an old style Rickenbacker folded leaf made, they are the most simple |

Or am I thinking of somebody else...? | No, you're correct, that's where I typically get my custom length rods. They cost around $30 bucks.
P.S. there is also a bit of a wait.
JC, last i talked with them (6 months ago) custom lengths are the same price as standered, just takes longer to get one. I cant find my invoice to know for sure how much it cost.

Yep, the price the guy quoted me was for 4, just figured the numbers, Jesse at LMI cleared it up.
Just another thing that makes me wonder what Mikeyswood was doing for the rod and why after 2 years he didn't have that either.

Being a "one off" I saw no reason to make a template (other than my poster board one)... so no router. I cut it out with a 3/16" blade on my band saw, fallowed by a spindle sander, hand sanding, and a little work with a scraper. |
