Looking for Alembic Pickups

I'm thinking about building an Alembic style bass.Does anyone know where I might get some pickups and pre amp if this comes about?Any help would be appriciated.Thanks Brian

Alembic will sell you all the pickups individually if you ask them nicely, except the Series single coils, unless they're replacements. Susan told me on the phone a while back that they much prefer to sell the pickups including the electronics package as it makes it easier for people to add them into a custom, or a mod job, and get a successful result. The AXY'x are a little lower in output than some other aftermarket pickups but should integrate OK into most decent preamps OK.

You can get used Alembic pickups on eBay from time to time.....probably much cheaper than buying them new from Alembic.

There's none on eBay right now, but I did see this:
