I figure there must be severl hundred years of bass building in the Luthiers corner. So I am seeking the point of view of you folks.

I am having a bass built. I have never tried this combination so I am going on faith at this point. Would like to see what you folks think about my choice.

4 string fretless
34 scale
Neck through
Three piece Ash Bubinga Neck
Hard ash body

I am hoping this bass have pronouced lows and singing/midrangy high as tonal qualities ie haslip and plenty of mwah. Likewise hoping via its electronics to be able to dial in deep woody tones when need be.

Your thoughts please
