Luthiers in Michigan?

Please stand up. I've been wondering if there were any in my state. Just curious to see if there are any shops around me. Im kind of in the detroit metro area. Im not sure if i broke a rule or not with this thread. if i did my apologize.

plenty in Michigan, Maybass and Mordor Bass are both in the Detroit area

Not sure if you are interested in custom instruments or work on existing ones, but if the latter, Tom Pellerito (near Ypsi) is beyond excellent.

There should be one there named Zoldos Customs. He's up and coming and has a alot of quality and excellent craftmanship. Do not know where he is exactly located but try a search.

Thanks everyone,

Basically i wanted to see if i could visit a shop er 2 to see how you luthiers do buisness. i wint to maybasses.com and sent him a message. but i couldnt find much info on the other 2.

i heard that maybass guy has no talent, rips off everyone else's good ideas, but makes a hell of a sloppy joe...btw ppk, i remember you! i followed your first build. its guys like you that make me wonder why i even bother. you're 17! I couldn't even spell base gitar when i was 17! Great work! We need to get together sometime and frequent some of the SE Michigan wood mills, and bring that 6!

indeed. We should. I have a long ways to go before i reach your quality. My electronics skills are terrible. And applying finish takes me an eternity. glad to see you made it back to talkbass.
