Mahogany precision bass

Hey guys,

Have any of you ever made an all mahogany precision bass (meaning the body and neck were both mahogany) or just a body even, and if so, could you provide some sound files or comment on the tone? Did you find that it was too muddy or too dark?

Just something I've wondered about. I figure if an EB 0 bass isn't too muddy (well at least for my taste; I think they sound cool at least on the neck pickup) then a longer scale fender should be fine, but you are the experts

Thanks in advance,

Chris
