A thing of beauty indeed.

Except for the back control cavity cover - is that not even around the edges? just looks a little wonky (not that i could do any better!) |

I stand corrected.

Is the bridge p-up longer than the neck one? They usually are the same size. I like those p-ups. They are my favorite Barts.
I would have probably added a small Purpleheart detail somewhere else on the front, just to tie with the nut. Like, PH p-ups covers or PH position dots... or PH knobs. or....let the PH show in the truss rod adjustment slot. But that's just me
Congrats! Really cool bass |

Congrats! Really cool bass | ..thanks.. my fav pickups too... actually its to different pkups... the bridge is from one set ( my client has the neck position on his bass) and the neck position is also a bridge position pickup.. it was my client pickup but he decided to go with a wider string spacing, so that pickup could not be used any more for the bridge position.. so I made use of it in my personal build.... hope that makes sense...
The bridge pickup is the X5 narrow sb and the neck is the X4 narrow sb
