| Marupa Wood?

I'm looking at getting a Jazz Bass with a Maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard and EMG JV pickups. The body is made out of Marupa wood. What is Marupa wood? In my quick googling it seems to have similar properties to alder expect lighter. Any of you guys built with it? What kind of tonal properties does it have weight things like that? I'm not building with it I'm just considering a bass with it and have never heard of it so I'm wondering what its like. |
