Musicmaster Bass Restoration

Hello everybody, This is going to be a two-fold thread, one to show the progress on my first restoration; and second to have some questions answered. So far, I have the body stripped down to the sealer.
My only question right now is should I strip all of the sealer off too or should I just touch up the areas that don't have sealer?
Now for the pictures.

Has anybody left the sealer on and just painted over it after sanding it to fine grit?

if the wood is sealed thats a good thing before painting on a color coat.
you can paint on the sealer if you'd like as long as you have sanded out any major imperfections.

I'd leave the sealer on. If you sand deeper than that, you risk changing the contours.

Besides, sealer is what holds the mojo in...

I left the sanded sealer on these, with no problems.
