Do you have any progress pics or anything that will help current and future users?

Looky-wat-i-can-dos are of no help and are usually removed.

Your avatar amuses me.
There are blog entries that document the transformation and there is a link off of the blog entry to the first one. There are several entries about the build and about the art of repairing and replacing things and stuff.

Have a nice time.

Nice looking bass/refinish. What type of paint was used?

I believe he used a Chromabase. Although I'm not 100% sure as I was not involved in the painting process.

I'll find out today and post the process for you.

You posted a link to a blog through which we have to scroll to find pics of work that you did not do?

I don't like you.

I'll go through and put the links together in order and have that be my next post. Gimme a sec, here...

There we go. Phew. It's hard work being cyber-responsible. Thanks, Slater. For whipping me into shape.

I should have mentioned that I'm apprenticing. I did about 80% of the laborious stuff.

Still waiting for paint info...

The paint process was as follows:

McFadden 4108 poly
Black ChromaBase
and then OMNI 101 clear.

All done with a sawed off 12 gauge shotgun as the airbrush was fouling up. That is a joke. He used an airbrush.

Your project has the potential to assist and educate many current and future users. Posting outside links is a questionable practice for security reasons.

It is regrettable the you do not "like" me but I can assure you that I will not lose any sleep. I am here to show other users how I accomplish my tasks. Along with others' input, the forum will serve many future and current luthiers along their passions.

Dang. I shouldn't post outside links? I've got a lot to learn about posting etiquette. I'm sure you will teach me if I ask, though. So how should I have handled the posting of this information?

How can I like or not like you without having met you, really? My sarcasm and dry sense of humor doesn't translate to the forum world. Another issue for me to work on. That crying smiley is me.

"" Outside sources of unknown sites invite the potential for a virus.

There are users that prefers sites such as flikr or photobucket to store the images. You can attach pics to the post but that will show only a thumbnail in the post and will also be viewed at less than desirable.

The How-To threads are very good and somewhat consistent in formatting.

First, that's a sweet bass: excellent work!

Aside from any other comments/opinions, I think that one link to another blog is acceptable. After that, some pics/progress posted here rather than multiple links to external sites is a good call...good forum etiquette as some may say. I'll leave the thread open to give you a chance to make some changes if you choose.

Best regards

You can just use the URL link from the blog to post pics. No need for Flickr or PB. Right click picture and copy img url, then "go advanced"(if you haven't already). Click the button that looks like a mountain and sun, then paste your copied url and click ok.

See.

And I think if you click on the pic it brings you to the blog.

Edit= Nope apparently you can't click it.
