So anyway I know their are probably a whole bunch of posts like this but i'm not in the F^in mood to look them up. I decided today i wanted something to do with all my free time and i though i would make a bass. But i don't really know much at all wonder if anyone could help me out. I just want to make my own 4 strings nothing fancy and one that kinda looks like a normal fender. Can anyone give me advice or sites to go to.

Read the stickies and FAQ... and since you have a bunch of free time to build a bass, part of building a bass is doing the nessesary research to properly build your bass.

Just a thought, not trying to be a dweeb. But yeah. Best of luck and definitely start a thread with your progress.

Peace

-Benny

Best place to start: Melvyn Hiscox book about building your own guitar, and go read a load of posts from experienced and talented people on the Project guitar forum,
http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/
if you can be F^in bothered to go look them up, that is.

Lol then do the project, maybe? haha I don't know... I just fail to see the sense of accomplishment when you're asking others to do the work for you. I can see getting stumped along the way and needing help but to ask for the information outright without using ye old search function first isn't very self fulfilling.

Be glad peeps over here are nicer about the search function then over in other parts.

Peace

-Benny

p.s. Like I said, the stickies in here have basically all the info you need.
