My First Build.(big picture warning)

Specs: 34 inch scale, fretted.
At the moment ive got a single humbucker, undecided on purchase of another one.
Made out of nz native kauri. with a matai fretboard.

I have a few queries about this trussrod. Do i route out a plain rectangular cavity for it? i heard somewere it should be deeper in the midde. Is this so? Do i need to anchor either of the ends? If so would i just glue it in place?Heres some pics of the truss rod i purchased.

There did you get that truss rod, and is it double acting?

Umm no, i didnt make this truss rod.

i bought it from guitarparts.co.nz. they described it as a simple bass truss rod. Im pretty sure it was the only bass truss rod on the site. Nope, not double acting.

Thanks for your guys help. Unforntunatly i wont be able to get any more done for about a week but when i do ill keep you updated.
