My new project ?!

Hello.
I have an idea of building 8 string bass
Sense idea - combine bass & guitar in one instrument, for the hell solo & tapping.
At the moment I'm working on the design ... silhouette taken from fodera emperor, lengthened the "upper horn", "underhorn" taken from zon sonus, "ass" from conklin, headstock taken from jerzy drozd.

And finally got here is:

(image is very large)

Recommend that the change in design?

Body will be made from swamp ash, neck - laminate wenge/mahagony, fingerboard - purpleheart.
3 pickup - 2 for the 6 string (bass part), and 1 for the 4 string (guitar part). Preamp - bartolini for bass, and midbooster for guitar. Machinehead - gotoh. Bridge - hipshot single string.

Today it is all ... start saving money on materials for this project.

SUBBED! It reminds me of my 8 string hybrid fretted/frettless.

Or Baby Al's 11 string.

Like a Gerber multitool.
It might be cool to do it as a fanned fret, since it will have such a wide range. Like this.

Keep your shape and idea, but look here for design considerations: Multiscale Chambered 8-string Hybrid Singlecut

BassCycle, Beej, thanks for advice. I already thought about this pickup placement (as the second photo and link), in my picture is not visible because I want to cover pickups ramp.
But I'm not thinking about fanned frets ... Hmm?? Maybe it's not a bad idea! As I think about - thin strings will be better oscillate and transmit harmonics? Сorrect me if I'm wrong.
And excuse me for my english!
