Wow, that single piece, swirly grain padauk is looking great!

What's the fretboard going to be?

What are your plans for a bridge?

Thanks Pilot,
I actually lined up two pieces of Padauk,I just got a really great joint dead center.
The fretboard is Maccassar Ebony with a bass clef at the twelfth fret. The bridge is a two piece like on my other build(pictured)

I got more done this week.I put a Padauk top on the headstock.I cut the headstock and tried to make it match the shape of the upper bout.I put a MOP bass clef inlay at the 12th fret and my last name initial in the headstock.I also started carving the neck volute.

nice! it is bolt on or set neck? i will assume you are cutting off the fingerbord exess shown in the pic. also i noticed that there is a sliver of the neck pocket visible. i would make it flush with the neck

Thanks Jordan.Yes,it is a set neck. The fretboard is cut back but will extend a little over the end of the neck.
The neck pocket will be flush around the 21st fret.
