need help with tonewood types

i need help with sounds of different tonewoods. which ones tone is more open, which ones tone is more bright, which one is darker, etc...
i need a comparation of ash and maple specifically, but the more the merrier

of course if you can direct me to some site or there already is a simmi9lar post i would very much appreciate your help
