NO!

It looks good...but, I agree that you already have that on your other bass. Both of them are beautiful instruments. I would NOT put them on. That is a beautiful piece of wood.

+1. Or is it -1, since it's a negative?

In any event, I vote "don't". I think it's the kind of thing you'd like for a while, but regret later.

Hyperglide or Uniglide? Hyperglide will provide smoother glissandos, but Uniglide will yield a beefier bottom end.

Me, I'm a SunTour chamfer guy, although the Sachs beveled teeth perform well too.

I say no.

T-Bird 03-09-2013 09:19 PM

Hi.

I'll go against the mainstream and vote for yes.

That will set Yours apart from the mundane masses of similar instruments and at the same time show your love for fixed gear bikes (I guess).

Over the years I've adopted the mantra: "rather regret what You did than regret what You didn't do" :).

Since we're about the same age, I'd say it'll probably come to You as well at some point in the future ;).

Regards
Sam

My saxophonist said no, so i took the time I would have used for mounting them to make him a reed. The no's have it!

Thanks,
Max

Why not get them cut in vinyl, put the vinyl on. Same look, reversible if you don't like it.

lowfreq33 03-10-2013 11:13 AM

Use double stick tape.

mellowinman 03-10-2013 11:21 AM

I should point out the reason I said no is because it's such a lovely instrument. Otherwise, it's a cool idea. I just really like the simple beauty you have going already.

suraj 03-10-2013 02:43 PM

I vote yes. But I would also put two smaller versions of those gears on the headstock :D

And +1 to what T-Bird said
