New bass ready

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi!

I just got my latest project ready. Some technical data:

- alder body, Danish Oil and carnauba wax finish
- maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 21 Dunlop 6150 frets
- Gotoh bridge, Warwick Just-A-Nut brass saddle
- bridge PU: Delano MC4 FE dual coil humbucker
- neck PU: Delano JMVC4 FE/M2 splitcoil humbucker
- controls: vol, vol, tone. Serial/parallel/split-switch for the MM-pu.

The design is very traditional, but the sound is contemporary. Also P/J-type sounds are available.

BTW, this is my first posting to TB.

Nice...

the rout around the MM pup looks a bit rough...but functionally I'll bet it's one sweet bass...

love the choice of Delano pups

nice choice of chrome/black screws for the cover plate and pickguard. interesting non-Fender style heel on the neck. gorgeous grain on the Alder - did you find Alder readily available in Europe?

so what's the entire bass look like?

all the best,

R

Thanks for the nice comments!

Alder is available at many suppliers here in Finland. Soundclips are not yet available, sorry.

The entire bass can be seen in the attached image (together with my MIM Pbass).
