New Cirrus, wanna change the knobs.

I know that I've seen other posts where people have changed the knobs to gold in order to match the hardware on the rest of the bass. I have a couple questions:

First, if I do this is it possible to get knobs that have the indented (?) feeling when they are halfway? That's really nice because it makes it a lot easier to dial in different sounds quickly.

Second, what types of knobs would you recommend/where should I look to find some?

Thanks.

The knob doesn't provide the indent, the potentiometer that the knob fits on does that.

There are plenty of on-line retailers who sell new knobs. You're local guitar tech could also help.

Be sure that you measure the height and width of the part of the part that sticks out of your bass as there are some different sizes.

before i bought any knobs , i'd check the shafts of the pots
on the instrument . check the diameter , whether it's splined
and split (gibson, yamaha , fender) or solid round , or solid w/
a flat .

splined shafts work best w/ splined knobs IME , and when you
put a setscrew on them ,they can easily turn off-center- as
the setscrew can pinch the slot closed if you don't chock it
first. = crooked or wobbly knobs.
