New Ibanez srx595 issue-missing allen wrench insert on bridge saddle

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,
I just bought a new Ibanez srx595 bass. I was looking at trying to raise the low B string a tiny bit. When I went to try to adjust the saddle I noticed that the low string was missing a little black allen wrench insert in which to use the allen wrench. The other 4 strings have it. Is there a way to get one of these tiny inserts? Or is there something to use instead? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

You mean the screwlike thing in the saddle? I'm guessing you can go to the store where you got it and ask there why you got an incomplete bass.
Although I myself am quite unfamiliar with this type of bridge.
Here's the pic if anyone else can help.

Here is the bridge saddle. On the top there is the hole for the allen wrench. Inside that hole is a little black metal insert that is the shape of 1/16 allen wrench, which allows you adjust the height.
I bought this bass of American Musical Supply, and I don't like the thought of sending it back over this tiny part.

Pull an existing one out and go down to a Ibanez dealer. If they don't have one they can get you one or at least get you the size so you can get one locally.
