New neck?

Sign in to disble this ad
I found a Traben chaos core at the MF clearance center today with a horribly warped neck. Are any of you experts out there for hire to make a new neck for me? Basically I was thinking I could just send you the neck and you could use that as a template. Just curious what your thoughts (and prices) are on this undertaking.

Someone may come forward and volunteer to do some business with you, but its very likely that a custom neck will be much more expensive than just ordering a replacement neck from warmoth or rondo and making it work. Just a thought...

Did you take the bass to a luthier? I bought a Foundation that had a horribly warped neck as well and I took it to the best luthier in the Phoenix area. $45 later the neck was readjusted, the electronics cleaned up, pots re-tightened, rust brushed off and the action set perfectly.

Best $45 I ever spent.

Granted, Peavey necks are pretty beefy and solid, but a luthier may be able to fix yours as well.

Expect a few days turnover, some necks can only take one quarter turn at a time.
