Question new project wood selection

Hi there.

I'd love to know your opinions. It has to be :

4 string, BEAD
36" scale
single cut
semi hollow
1 pickup, passive, no controls

quite special 'low freq' bass, not much versatility. main goals are sustain and well defined B. authoritative warm growl with a bit of 'wooden hollowness'. mostly studio use, fingerstyle. pickup will be self-wound, probably hotter neodymium p-style somewhere in MM position.

i prefer european hardwoods (not strictly), but it shouldn't be built from typical fender woods since it doesn't have to sound like one. maybe maple fb.. i was thinking of mahogany (or mah/walnut) neck and walnut+cherry body, maple or ebony fretboard.

Thank you in advance for all your opinions.

All the best,

mike

you all are right. i was just a bit too excited at the beginning. but.. berofe my 2-year building and talkbassing break, posting thread line this wouldn't be such a shame. so.. cherry+walnut body, mahogany+walnut neck. yes.
