New shop equip - Powermatic 14" bandsaw

Sign in to disble this ad
So I head off to purchase a couple wood clamps, and look what followed me home!

Due to the small dent in the base (rear upper left), this brand new bandsaw was in the dent-n-scratch for 50% off! I will be ordering the optional 6" riser next month so that I'll have the capability to re-saw my own tops and veneers.

Sure glad I passed on that Delta benchtop model that was on sale last month.

Now to get to work ...

Thumbs up

OK ... I wasn't able to run direct, but I think you'll get a pretty good idea of what this sounds like running active from THIS clip.

What ya guys/gals think? Did I get a winner or what!?!

Yep, I admit I was a little off on my clamp purchase. I do, however, think this will fill the clamping capability quite nicely

Speaking of new tools and clamping (speaking of me being too lazy to make my own thread) here's a little clamp thing I put together from two separate Grizzly items. I wanted the granite slab for a perfect flat sanding surface and the press was a nice fit to go over it. So far I've only used it to glue up veneers onto thick/small pieces. Eventually I want to figure out a caul system so I can glue tops onto backs and other big stuff.
