Newbie routing question

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm modifying an SX PJ bass and need to install a battery box on the back of the bass. I have a Dremel router (I know probably not the best router). This is totally new to me. Where do I start?

I would use a small drill press and clean up with a router.

You'll probably need something a little bigger than a dremel though.

Two or three Dremels might get it done.

You first want to make a template of the desired shape. Next double side tape the template to the bass. Third follow the template with a pattern bit.
