Sprayed my Jazz body color coat. How smooth does it need to be before I put on the clear coat?

If the surface is smooth and no contamination rested on the color coat, then you can start your clear coats. If using nitro clear, it will burn into the color coat with good adhesion. I usually spray 12 coats of clear to allow for wetsanding, after letting it cure for 30 days.
