- Still haven't decide the body wood yet (Swamp Ash / Mahogany).
- 1 piece maple neck 32" scale; 21 fret.
- Bartolini MK1 Soapbar pickups (passive wiring)

That'll be all . . . . nothing fancy since there are not much (cheap) resource of bass parts i can get here in Indonesia.

and I currently have a EMG BTC preamp in my drawer, whaddaya guys think? should I use it or not? My music is Pop, a bit of Jazz, Prog Rock and stuffs... And if there any TBers would give any of your advise, i'm open to that. thank you, gotta go to do some shopping here..

PS: So sorry for my terrible English.

Sounds like an interesting build! You don't see too many medium-scale basses around...

Not too sure on the BTC, man. Sorry I can't be of more help .

Best of luck though .

Still no luck with the maple for the neck... got my self a 3p mahogany blank, Schaller Licensed Tuning Peg, and a set of bartolini MK1 pickups. will post some pics of the mahogany soon..

update

been busy lately, so my friend decided to take a jump start without me . . .

here's the mahogany body that my friend decided to shape without me..

as you can see there's pretty big knot on it.

here's me routing the control cavity

no safety precautions

below is a mockup i am trying to make.

yes i know the body wood looks extremely hideous... i might be getting myself a flamed maple veneer to cover it up and might get a transparent walnut brown finish. the walnut brown will be done with wood stain and added some burst on the edge to cover the transition between the mahogany and the maple veneer.
wish me luck guys, i am gonna need a lot of it.

It looks like Luan or Meranti. Both of which are mahoganies.
