Fist I would like to thank every builder on here.. I learned a lot from you all…thank you…. I have a nut Q?? how high does the nut have to be from the FB.. I do end of the fret board nut.one book that I have side to , cut a pencil in half then place the pencil on the 1st fret run the pencil across the nut, and that “should be the nut height. But I find that my string are a lil to low…. and with the frets is it a certain height for them..like my SX bass.. the fret height is about .43 , .44, .47…off of the fretboard.. around there.. I would post my building steps… but too much work..lol…. so here is so pics..

I am not sure what you question is. String height/nuts slots? I would put a short straight edge across the first three frets. Mark on the nut this height across the width of the nut. I would cut the slots .050" above this line.
