NUT PROBLEM!

Hey,

i bought a fender precision bass AM series nut for my warmouth precision neck, but it's not wide enough to fit the slot from the highest string to the lowerst... is this right? have i been given the wrong nut, do i need to buy another one?

I suggest u make one yourself that will fit exactly. I am sure u can find some bone, hard wood or plastic material in your local shop, sanding it to desired size and doing the string slots is quite simple
