The wax can be removed with paint thinner, like Varsol, or naptha. Both of these will dissolve wax without stripping the oil finish. You may have to wash it with the thinner a couple of times to get the wax completely off.
I'm not sure what oil Warwick uses. Someone here should know. Probably not boiled linseed oil. Maybe tung.
Yes, you can re-oil and don't really need the wax. You shouldn't have to do it as often as every 6 months. Once a few coats have thoroughly penetrated the wood, it'll start to build on top of the wood.
