Peavey Millenium body + Fender Jazz neck???

Sign in to disble this ad
I am thinking about purchasing a Peavey Millenium bass that has a really nice Tiger's Eye quilted finish however I really hate the Peavey necks. If I get a Fender Jazz neck, would that fit the Peavey body? If it doesn't can I make it fit somehow?

No, it won't work without serious modification that isn't worth your time or money. For the cost you could build a warmoth with that finish.

Well I appreciate the help. I guess the idea of swapping out the neck is out the door. I really like that tiger's eye finish though. Is it possible to swap out the Peavey pickups for some EMG jazz pickups? It looks do-able to me but I don't know much about this stuff.

Yup. Actually, upgrading to EMGs is relatively painless; there really isn't a whole lot of soldering, unless you go with the upgraded preamps.

How can anyone realisticly tell you???? Each person has their own opinion of tone and pick-ups. EMG lovers wil tell you it's vast, EMG haters will say otherwise. Only youears can tell you how much or little improvemet it would be.
