Peruvian/Tropical Walnut

Peruvian/Tropical Walnut (Juglans neotropica). I love this stuff.



Smells good, looks great, easy to work with power tools and hand tools. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite woods to work with.

Mahogany is nice too.

Well I didn't ask or pay extra for quartersawn, so I am inclined to think it is flat. But the grain is pretty straight for the part of the board I used for this.
