Pickups dropped out of their plastic cases

Hi guys, I just picked up a bass from e-bay and when it arrived I noticed that the P style pickups had dropped out of the pickup case covers (Dimarrzio P style DP-122's) anyway it obviously suffered an impact of some kind enough to jar the actual pickups out of their respective plastic covers. It looks like Dimarrzio originally puts a fine bead of either silicon or hard drying plastic glue on and around the bottom of the pickups and covers to hold them in place.
Anyone know what brand or type of glue or silicon to buy to effect the repair? I'm thinkin any glue or silicon would do but if there is a pickup friendly product to use that'd be the way I'd wanna go....

pickup foam can be put under the pickups to help hold them up. glue....i know there is glue for electronics. i would stick AWAY from gorilla glue and similar to it.

I would contact the seller first and foremost and let them know what happened before I did anything. Then I would say +1 on the pickup foam. My MM Sub had 4 springs to keep the pickup and pickup cover together once screwed in. When I replaced the pickup, it being a different size, I then used the foam. However when you unscrew the pickup screws, the cover and pickup are not conncected or glued and there are absolutely no problems with this on my bass. Not sure on what kind of glue or silicone to use though.

Its just hot glue from a hot glue gun no?

I use melted wax to hold my bobbins in their covers, if they ever need repaired they can be easily be removed with a little heat.

In my experience, while most Dimarzio Pickups are attached to their covers, Model P is an exception to that. Both Model P pickups I installed over the years came like this. I can't say with 100% confidence, because I purchased both used. But I think it should be a big concience if both pickups were removed from their covers and the silicon was throughly removed without leaving any evidence

In any case, +1 to putting foam under the bobbins.

+1 on the wax, and on the foam, oh and yes, ive used thoughs pups before, they come unstuck to the covers. i wanted it like that for my wooden pup covers
