selling off your kidneys and first born.

The stuff is wickedly expensive and not terribly easy to find. CALL frequently all the wood suppliers around you. You could check in with Larry at Gallery Hardwoods periodically as well, he has beautiful stock.

never seen a piece bigger than a uke- size board .

only thought is inlay into some other wood or try to glue
smaller pieces into a board 2?" long .

from what i've seen available , the logs are pretty small.
