I am thinking about treating the fretboard with danish oil. Is it best to do this before I hammer in the frets or after? The neck will be clear coated.
Any suggestions?
Cheers
Tore

I am making a guitar shaped as a salamon for my friend who is a total fishing loonie... I have used Danish oil for both the body and neck, I really like the feel. Will use it on the neck, both front and back...

Not finished yet. 2-3 wipes with the oil on the neck and I will put it together.
Cheers

It is finished! The owner is getting it airbrushed as a real Alta salmon!

Oiling the fretboard (I like to do this before I hammer in the frets), gluing the top (maple veener) on the headstock, making the "nut" and drilling the holes for the machine heads. Hope to finish the bass, guitar and the mandolin before the summer is over...
Danish oil
Gluing the top
Cheers
