question about luthiering

how do I find proportions for a neck and body, like the ratio of frets and where the bridge goes, and stuff like that? thanks

I recomend reading Melvin Hiscock's Make Your Own Electric Guitar. It will answer all your questions and more. Mr. Hiscock has loads of good advice for both design and building. I'ts basicaly the bible for beginning luthiers.

I got it from my library through interlibrary loan. I'd imagine there's got to be one somewhere in the Atlanta library system.
