Quick Fix for Ugly Poly?

I have an SX strat copy that actually plays and sounds really nice, the problem is that the "vintage white" finish is actually sort of a "flourescent Chinese banana pudding".

It's a thick poly finish and I'm not going to invest all the time required to strip it with a heat gun. Does anyone have any cool ideas for fading the color or changing it somehow?

I guess I could just spray paint it, but I don't really like that bad spray job look.

I was thinking of lighting the body on fire, but who knows what's in that Chinese paint?

You could rub it down with some yellow matter custard.

Find another axe you like just as well, then let the white one sit out in the sun for a year.

I know what's NOT in the paint...DURABILITY.

I have an sx75...heavily modded of course. If you look at it sideways the paint chips off. If you want to do something with the paint the best thing IME/O is to strip and start all over again.

Actually, I noticed this evening that the finish looks fine in the daylight. I just looks weird under fluorescent lights. I should probably check it with a Geiger counter....

refin, or let the thing age in sunlight, like what im doing to my sx jazz whenever i get the time
