Question Quick zebrawood query

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm doing my final sanding of my bass in zebrawood. What's strange is that when I wipe off the dust with a rag, tiny burrs will catch the cloth, kind of like when you stroke a cat's furr in the wrong direction.
Do I keep sanding until this stops happening, or is this somthing that sorts itself out with pore filling and sealing?

I just fought the same thing. Mist the board with water to raise the grains, let it dry for a minutes, sand off the raised burrs. Repeat that until it stops catching.

Send a message via MSN to eleonn
You could use naphta instead of water too.

To raise grain? Water is the king of that.

Got it about raising the grain, but doesn't this also conversely increase pore size?
Also, should I do this early on, or wait until I wet sand with very fine grit?
