I am going to get my bandsaw set up for resawing and would like to watch some u-tube videos on the subject. Any ones out there that you have found helpful?
When my dad passed I inherited his Delta 28-275 bandsaw. Serial # 97 B 99007 I guess that means it was made in '97?
I imagine I am not the only one out there using one of these? I hope not.
I installed the riser block on it and now it takes a 105 blade. Today I also replaced the steel guide blocks with Lignum Vite ones. I believe I read to do that here. Is that a good thing to do?
I also changed the motor to a 1725 RPM 1.5 Hp one
The blades I have been trying to use are the timberwolf 3/4" 3 TPI ones. I have one on there now and one new in the package. I would like to get the saw running correct before I invest in a fancier blade. Sound right?
My first problem is the blade is not riding on the tire in the same place on the top and bottom tires. The teeth are a bit forward of the tire on the top wheel and centered on the bottom wheel. Why and how do I adjust that? The las time I tried to resaw a board the blade drifted so badly I had to toss the board. I had the tension adjust wheel to 4/4" so I am puzzled as to what I am doing wrong. Please let me know if you need more info or photographs. Thanks in advance. I am getting the wheels parallel this morning. I have had some suggest that I should go to a thinner blade. I have also considered getting one of these. http://www.amazon.com/Carter-Product...pr_product_top
