I'm going to try to wait it out to see if a better deal comes along. I really don't want to pay more than $200 shipped.

Yes it's good to be patient, no it's bad to pass up really good offers. |

It's a great neck, I had like 3 different allparts just like it. 2 rosewoods, and a maple with blocks... You can't tell the difference from a Genuine Fender. They fit MIJ and MIA bodies better than the MIM's.. Just a little bit lower and tighter in the pocket on MIJ's. You will have a long wait if you want to pay 200.00 shipped. Maybe used, but I know I would want a new one, so my holes are the first ones ever drilled. If you don't have a drill press, let someone with a drill press do it for you. be sure the holes are drilled the right size and don't tighten down the screws like the Hulk. You can easily twist the fingerboard just enough to cause buzzing if you do.
Snug them down just until they are tight, and stop.
That's your MIM body?
IMHO.

Haven't arrived yet so don't know if it's MIM or MIJ. It's got a nice finish and seems to be in great condition. We'll see when it gets here.

Did you get from Slonk. or Goerdt on ebay?

Do you know the seller? If it's a MIM, oh well... As long as it's in good condition I'm okay with it. BTW your JO motivated me to start this project. Thanks for your inspiration : :

They're also a little heavier. The guy I was thinking you might have bought from is a friggen rip. he sells MIM's and calls them MIJ's all day. You got what I think is a fair deal. 159 is fair. Get that Allparts neck bro, and she will look sweet. From my experience, the maple bound and blocked necks always play better, and seem to setup better also. Less relief, and lower action every time I had one. Maple is the preferred sound too. I like it, but rosewood does look better, especially with the blocked inlays and the binding. Do what makes you happy, and whatever sounds good to you.
Good luck Brohiem!

I've checked out hipshots, sperzels, & schallers and personally they seem a lil expensive for me. I'm considering some wilkinson. Anyone have any experience with these?
