Here's one I'm pretty excited about. I plan on starting this one right after the new year. I'll build this bass to my own specs and play it a while and probably sell it later. It's been a while since I've built one the way I want it so here it goes. Since this is not a customer bass the progress will be slower than normal.
Redeemer DDC body shape
Bolt on neck
36-34 scales Fan fret
24 frets
Cocobolo top
Spanish Cedar core
Curly oak back
Wenge accents
Seven laminate neck walnut, wenge, curly maple.
Cocobolo fingerboard
fiber optic side markers
2 Redeemer neo humbuckers
Audere Z-mode pre
Matching covers
Wilkinson tuners
Redeemer wooden bridge 19mm
black hardware
The shape

So far so good, I'll need to set the neck a little shallower than normal to still have good access to the last frets. This will give me a little more room for the bridge too. The only drawback is I may also need to extend the upper horn slightly to keep good balance. The headstock doesn't seem like it will need any changing. I don't plan on getting too fancy in that area.

I plan on putting the perpendicular fret at the 5th which will make the nut or zero fret in this case have less angle this also puts the more angled frets in the upper neck area which is better for my playing style (or lack there of! ) Now this being my first fanned build this will be a learning experience, but I'm confident that I can use my the same scarf technique as all of my others. If not I'll post the outcome.
