Reducing a G&L P sized neck to a J size?

just a question, how realistic is it to have a luthier take a G&L SB1 P size neck and reduce it down to a J sized neck? I appreciate it would be a bunch of work and probably costly, but could the SB1 decal be saved and any ideas on rough costing to do this? regards, al.

I actually do this all the time. My neck jig is constructed so that I can mount a P neck and narrow it to J width with ease. Then all I do is refinish the frets and recontour the back. It's not hard.
