Hi All,

Ive decided to offer the Marseer shape as a bolt-on range with 3-4 different shapes. Basicly Marseer with and without the fishtail and Singlecut Marseer the same. Im going to be starting a build over christmas which will be for sale on my website.

Here's what ive come up with so far,

Just a mockup to see what the bass could look like!

Im looking forward to building these basses, lets hope some people are interested!

Cheers,

Robbie.

Hi Thonk,

I couldn't make it to bassday in the end, I wanted to check out Adam Nitti also. I bet it was a blast, how are you doing. Did you want some of them thread inserts still! I'll send you some bud. Cheers for the feedback on the bolt on designs, should be interesting next year.

Peace,

Robbie.

Hi Rob
Why are you going into the bolt-on neck with this model,I love the fish tail it's what makes the bass really stand out for me,I would nick it if I thought I could build it. All that custom made hardware is beyond me.
Cheers
Alan

I've always greatly preferred bolt on's. I'm really looking forward to seeing how these turn out. You have a great eye for design.

Cheers.

Hi Guys,

Looks like we have a good debate on this one, I love building the Marseer fishtail thru necks and I'll keep doing so. Its just that, I really enjoyed making my first comission (Tom's Vega custom 4) which was a bolt on design and I think the Marseer will look good as a bolt-on design. I could also offer the Marseer without the fishtail as a thru neck so the more options are good for everyone. And it should reflect on the price alittle, I just want to keep things interesting and see how long it takes me to build a bolt-on. Alan bud thanks for your comments and I do agree with you on the fishtail but its not everyones cup of tea. I love your bolt-ons and top marks for sorting out your own preamp and pickups. We should have a chat soon mate.

Cheers guys,

Robbie.

I am working the other way round,I started on bolt-on I am now trying set necks which I have to say I like especially on the single cuts makes top end access better than on the bolt on. I will eventually try out the thru neck but with the set neck working well this has been put off.
The pre-amp and the pickup combination has worked out really well, I am really pleased with them both and the pre-amp has passed all my expectations with regard to sound and flexibility.
Looking forward to a chat. I should make it down to London either just before Xmas or in the new year.
Alan
