router neck carving jig?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys,
a couple of days ago I remember seeing a jig to carve necks with a router. It was sort of a rectangular box and the router rode on the top, the cutter sticks through a straight channel on the top and the neck is mounted fingerboard down on a pivoting base that rotates the neck inside the box. I can't find it again for the life of me! hopefully someone here knows where it is and can help a bit.

Thanks!

Grizzly has a sander that does a similar thing. Stewmac may have what you are looking for though. Or......I don't think it would be all that difficult to make your own - but difficult is relative.
However, maybe take a look at this thread - I think the OP is doing some poking to see if we could get a talkbass discount:

Saul Koll posted pics of a jig like you describe a few days ago at MIMF. It was in the "easy jigs and fixtures" thread in tools & jigs section.
