Rubber Ducky Bass

I got bored today and started working on this:

The body is made of oak plywood, the neck and hardware are from a Samick Fairlane, and the pickups/pots are from a MIM Fender jazz

This is not meant to be a high quality build, but just something funny to bust out at a party.

this is just a rough cut, I will do finish sanding tomorrow once the glue dries

I will send you one American dollar if you get a picture of yourself dressed up like Ernie (you know, from Sesame Street) with the completed project in your hands.

Just because.

Looks really awkward to play for more then two minutes. You should flip it so the bridge is below his beak. Regards of it actually being playable or not it looks pretty cool.

the neck dive is going to be horrible but it is totally worth it!

I am just gonna try and counteract it with strap placement and maybe some weights.

I am gonna paint all the details of your standard yellow rubber ducky

If I get ambitious I may make a pickup cover (old fender style) that looks like the wing.

I'll give you twenty American dollars if you somehow get Tom Araya to play a set with it at a Slayer concert.
