Question Safe polish for a vintage Fender bass????

Sign in to disble this ad
I've just acquired a very nice 100% original 1966 Fender Precision - in fantastic condition.

Can anyone please recommend a polish that will help to protect the finish on the body/neck - & that is safe to use on the vintage Nitrocellulose finish?

Many thanks for your help

Definately go with Preservation Polish from StewMac. No silicone. It's the good stuff.

Fender'S instrument Care Kit by Meguiar's. Symply the best. You won't find anything better. Just take a minute to verify Meguiar's reputation. That's what i use on my jazz bass 1964....

Meguiar's kit does contain silicone. If that is a factor and it should be.

Many thanks for the replies & helpful info.

The 'Preservation Polish' looks ideal... but I'm based in the UK & unfortunately they only ship within the US.

Pure carnuba wax is the way to go. Safe for all finishes and with no additives.
