Size of screws on no0rmal Fender P/J Basses?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am going to be purchasing threaded inserts/bushings since I am putting together a custom bass where all the holes in the wood are "reinforced" so that pickups, cavity covers, the bridges, and even the neck can be moved or switched out with absolutely no wear/tear to the body.

Does anyone here know the typical thread/hold sizes for the pickguard screws, pickup screws, bridge screws, and neck bolts?

Thanks.

well for pickup screws I use a 4-40 threaded insert and matching 1-1/4" long machine head screw. You can use the same tiny insert for cavity covers screws. For necks do a search here, it has been discussed a few times. Hope this helps
