source for 7/64" round ended milling cutter?

I'm about to install a D-TAR Timberline into an A/E wooden bridge, and the installation requires a 7/64" rounded bottom to the bridge slot. D-TAR recommends a source for this cutter - but that source has closed its doors for business

anyone have a reliable source for this kind of specialty tool? Routerbits.com only carries round end bits down to 1/8" (I need to go 1/64" smaller), and this is unfortunately a little too large for the application at hand.

I would consider utilizing a 7/64"D round end mill bit, but I have no idea how to chuck this into my router utilizing a 1/4" collet. maybe this is a better way to go if a method to chuck this is workable

The end mill cutters are available from places like KBC Tools etc. which you're probably already aware of. I don't have a calc. on hand to figure how many thou. diff. there is but you might get good results from wrapping the shaft with very thin metal shim stock or even self adhesive aluminum foil (see bare metal foil in hobby stores) bearing in mind you need a material thickness only half of the difference in diameter to bring it up to .125 OD. If you go that route I'd suggest very light cuts to prevent vibration from destroying the foil.

You're looking at a diameter difference of .015" which I would think could be accomodated with a thin metal shim (pop can metal?) wrapped around the bit. Also the collet will probably comfortably accept shaft sizes down to .240 without giving trouble. Hope this gives you a few ideas. I deal with KBC Tools all the time as they are a big time distributer all throughout North America and I can drive to my local one in 15 minutes.

Maybe file/sand down the cutting edges on the 1/8" bit....?? You're only talking 1/128th off each cutting edge.

Yikes!! ,guess I had brain lock on this one. I was thinking 7/32 not 7/64. Do you have a 1/8 collet for your router??. Not too many have them. If not, I will volunteer my services to turn you an adaptor on my lathe with 7/64 I.D and 1/4" or 1/2" or whatever you want on the O.D. if you can't find the router bit you need. You can p.m. me. Sorry for the confusion.
