Spector Rebop refinish advice

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everybody,

I'm thinking of refinishing my Rebop, it's alder in a natural oil finish. PJ at Spector said that the factory finish was pure lemon oil with a paste wax.

I'm thinking of sanding it all down to remove all the marks and wear and then refinishing it in an other oil finish (So it can wear all over again!). What grit do I need to go up to and how many coats of oil should I apply before the wax goes on?
