Spoke Truss Rod at Body End - Where to start?

Sign in to disble this ad
There's an insane amount of info in the search for Truss rod help but what I couldn't find was where's the most import "coverage". I'm using a 24" long HotRod from Stewmac and I've got 28.76" of fingerboard. I'll be creating a slot in the fingerboard but was curious where to start the rod at the headstock end? Should it go all the way to the first fret? or is it better to bring it to the 2nd or so and have the rod come closer to the body? I'm planning on routing tonight, any advice/concerns would be greatly appreciated!
