My Squier P is like a sludge hammer with robust, unapologetic tone. It's like a big old pickup truck with a large, environmentally unfriendly engine.
Both play great, but are vey different.

Come on over --> Revamping a Squier Precision Bass <-- to check out my project and give any input.

Thinking about buying one for my p bass project, but not sure if i should go with the 2 or 3 string.

Sorry to be bringing this thread back to life, but my curiosity got the better of me!

| | Cort bassist by obligation | | Join Date: Mar 2003 Location: South Florida | | | I sold both. I had some bills come up that required it. The Ibanez was super cool, and I really enjoyed the P & 35DC combo. However, I was at the point where I had 8 basses. It was obnoxious, I wasn't playing them enough (collecting dust), and I wanted someone to enjoy them. It sucked selling the Explosive Ibby, but someone in KS now has the most kickass Soundgear for their metal band.
I REGRET selling my Squier. That bass always delivered. The owner still lives in my town, and I may try to buy it back from him. Stupid, stupid, stupid!
Also, I quit my band and joined a KISS tribute. The chances of playing a Squier P are slim in none with this band. I still have my Jaco tribute build!!!!

This was a cool thread to follow, and whenever I come across threads like this I get a "I wonder what ever happened to..." feeling. Hope you get your Squier back soon!

| | | | re: tuner upgrade I am currently in the midst of doing a mid 60's clone from an Affinity Jazz and am wondering, Does anyone know if there's a template out there somewhere to mark the headstock for the big tuner holes after plugging the smaller ones? My math and geometry skills are not what they used to be...LOL...and help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
