I think mines a little thicker than normal, I didn't buy a blank but went to a wood shop. | First the blanket was 1.7717 inches, but i thought it was too thick, so i decided to take it to 1.5748 inches, because i measured the jazz bass from a friend and it had that that number, and it was very ligth and sleek! and there's no problems with cavity depth

I'm just working up the nerve to do a build myself.
Can someone point me where I can get one of the printed diagrams?
I'm going to do a similar build (black hard ware and jazz bass), but it'll be more of a modern spin (24 fret 5 string). I basically just need a reference point with a template. I love the all black hardware!

Great! I can send you the plans if you want, but i'm not sure if the dimensions are usefull for 5strings! The only thing you can use are the measures for bridge and neck pocket i guess! Let me know
