O.K. I just ordered a nice piece of 8/4 Purpleheart for my neck, I have Ash for my body, Maple Burl for the top (wings only) and a Georgeous Stabalized (from Larry @ Gallery) Maple Burl/Spalt/Quilt fretboard.
I'm gonna do something a little more traditional, maybe a super-hybrid Jazz bass, I'll know a little more tonight after I get to put pencil to paper.
Any thoughts on my wood choices? |
